Description:
CareerSource Southwest Florida is your local subject matter expert in the field of employment and training. We are a part of the integrated CareerSource Florida network which connects businesses with qualified talent and job seekers with career opportunities. We provide many different workshops related to employment preparation, such as resume writing, interviewing skills, job search techniques, Employ Florida navigation and Federal Bonding to name a few. We host hiring events on site for individual employers or for groups. We provide offices for employers to conduct interviews. We have computers for reemployment assistance and job searches. We operate the Welfare Transition Program, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Veteran Employment Program, Destination Career$, Destination Graduation, and the Ticket to Work Program.

Description
CareerSource Southwest Florida provides resources to make your job hunt successful. When you visit our career center, you will find a variety of resources from workforce professionals ready to help you to resource rooms with self-service tools to make your job search easier. The staff assists in matching people with jobs; employment preparation (including resume help and federal bonding); and training; and assists SNAP recipients and Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents with program requirements. It has special programs available for disabled workers (Ticket to Work program), veterans and youth. We also provide computers for unemployment applications and job searches.

Description
We provide information on how employers may receive Fidelity Bonds at no charge as an incentive to hire hard-to-place job applicants. These bonds, issued by the Federal Bonding Program, help employers offset potential risks with the job honesty of at-risk job seekers such as ex-offenders, persons in substance abuse recovery, and economically disadvantaged individuals lacking work history. Any at-risk job applicant is eligible for bonding services. This service is available by contacting any of our centers.

CareerSource Southwest Florida is an approved Social Security Employment Network provider with disABILITY friendly centers. The Ticket To Work Program promotes self-sufficiency and financial independence for individuals receiving disability benefits interested in exploring work. We help them become self-sufficient and competitively employed. We can assist persons with disabilities who receive Social Security to understand how to return to work while using current work incentives. If you are currently receiving benefits such as Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and/or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and would like to return to work, we can help you become self-sufficient.

CareerSource Southwest Florida offers an array of training opportunities to job seekers. Our On-the-Job Training program is for the job seeker interested in earning while they are learning. Our Occupational skills training is for the job seeker who is ready to return to the classroom to prepare for an in-demand occupation and career. Our Internship Program is for the recent graduate struggling to get that first position in their new field of study.

Our Welfare Transition Program is the iCareer program. iCareer is designed to assist job seekers develop individualized career plans - your iCareer - that will outline a person's individual career path, provide a way to acquire the skills necessary to start in an in-demand career, and to define the rungs on the career ladder that will take that person to a high skill/high wage future. Services include a work readiness assessment, an employability plan, work readiness workshops, career exploration and more. Description
We are focused on providing youth work readiness skills and preparation to compete in the local and global job market. CareerSource Southwest Florida provides services to youth who are low-income and at risk of dropping out of school or faces other barriers to employment and educational achievement. Our Destination Graduation program is focused on increasing graduation rates in Southwest Florida. It is designed to provide mentoring, academic enrichment, work readiness, and other workforce development services to high school students who for various reasons are unmotivated and/or unsuccessful and are identified as at-risk. Our Destination Career$ program provides out-of-school youth, ages 16-24, with access to quality education and job opportunities through guidance, continued support for educational attainment, opportunities for skills training in in-demand industries and occupations, and culminating with a good job along a career pathway or enrollment in post-secondary education. Our goal is for these young adults to advance their skills and pursue the best jobs possible.
