After the drowning deaths of 13-month-old twins Christian and Joshua DeMello in January 2010 in Port Charlotte, their father Paul started JACD as a way to help other families avoid this type of tragedy. Working with community partners, this nonprofit helps to install pool safety barriers, and raises funds and awareness toward child drowning prevention year-round. Donor partners and volunteers interested in helping with these efforts are welcome.
