New Paradigm of Catholic Charities

Description

New Paradigm of Catholic Charities is a 2-year transitional housing program that assists families with children younger than 17, who are at risk of becoming homeless. During the program, adults must be employed, and HUD guidelines are followed. The goal is to teach families the skills necessary to be self-sufficient.

Eligibility

All applicants must have a secure income; household income less than 50% of the Area Median Income (check with agency regarding minimum and maximum income requirements). Must be a family with at least one parent and at least one child younger than 17. Participants must have no prior felony charges of any kind. No pets allowed. The family also must have a vehicle. Participants must be willing to complete mandatory classes, work with a professional case manager; to listen and comply with suggestions, guidance and conditions of advisory board, if applicable; and to develop skills needed to live independently, without assistance from any program.
