Our Mother's Home offers an all-inclusive 24/7 residence for teenage foster care girls who have children or who are pregnant. As part of the Mentored Living Program, the girls live together while learning life and parenting skills so that they will be able to be independent and safely care for their child once they age out of foster care. The program also aims to decrease the high school dropout rate among this population. Services include (but are NOT limited to): food, clothing and residence within the maternity group home; parenting classes and life skills training (includes budgeting, resume writing, job search, meal planning, cooking, shopping, financial literacy, self-care, child care, hygiene, laundry, technology, reproductive health, family planning, responsibility, safety, organization, communication, self-control, self-worth and awareness); independent living services for those aging out of foster care, and help to establish a permanent, safe home; physical and mental health needs; education; and balanced recreational activities for the teens and their babies.
