Description:
Healthy Start Coalition operates the community !Connect! program for Charlotte County. Connect is the community's intake and referral for pregnant women and newborns. Family needs are identified and assessed to connect them to services they may need, including healthy start, if they choose.
Healthy Start's Care Coordinators provide one on one education and support. Healthy Start provides prenatal education, breast feeding support, parenting education, including our new initiative, Fatherhood (24/7 Dad).
The organization is also able to provide families with safety items such as infant car seats, baby gates, and pack n' plays. Our pantry stocks diapers, wipes, infant clothing and other baby essentials.
