Description
Senior Services has some limited funds each year to assist grandparents ages 55+ who are raising their grandchildren (parents not in the picture). This assistance is usually in the form of paying for something for them, such as camp fees for the child, items needed (like a bed), etc. In some cases, the grandparent may pay a fee up-front and be reimbursed. Once funds are depleted, there are no more until the next fiscal year for that program. Referrals for this program do NOT need to go through the Area Agency on Aging; they may be referred directly to Senior Services.
