Description:

Meals on Wheels offers home-delivered meals for seniors and the disabled who are homebound and cannot prepare their meals; and/or who are home from the hospital, surgeries and rehab facilities. The agency has a varied menu that can accommodate many special dietary needs. The volunteer drivers offer daily contact with clients five days a week. Major Holidays are excluded (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day). The meals are delivered between 10:30AM and 12PM Monday to Friday. Meals on Wheels also has a community thrift store that helps to support the program. Donations are always welcome and appreciated.

Program Fees:

$5.00 per meal, per day.

Eligibility:

Elderly (65 and over), Mentally or physically disabled adults who are unable to prepare or obtain meals for their nutritional benefit. Age requirements may vary, depending on the situation. (post-surgical, chemotherapy patients or other medical treatments may qualify.)
