                                      Description

Suncoast Humane Society, a non-profit organization founded 47 years ago in 1971, is one of Florida’s few “open admissions” animal shelters. Accepting all animals brought to us and are committed to our policy of never turning an animal away regardless of health, temperament, age, size or breed. Low-cost clinic services are available. The organization accepts donations of animal food/supplies, both for its shelter residents, and to be given to those in the community who need the help, rather than having to surrender their pets. Volunteers and monetary donations also always are welcome. Suncoast also operates three thrift stores, which help to fund its operations; see their individual listings on this database for more information.
