Description:

Jesus Loves You Ministry's Mobile Outreach Program provides assistance for homeless individuals in Charlotte County, including those those who may be suffering from substance abuse and mental health issues. Case management services include a mobile food pantry for homeless who cannot access soup kitchens or other local pantries; assistance obtaining ID documentation and applying for benefits; job search assistance; and wellness services, including access to showers, haircuts, clean clothing, hygiene packets and more. The ministry also now goes out to Englewood weekly, and will help individuals there, whether they live in Charlotte or Sarasota county. The ministry also operates a thrift store to support its outreach efforts. Volunteers and donations are welcome.

Most needed: men's shorts/pants sizes 28-36 waist, men's underwear (all sizes). Also need: tarps and tents (dark colors), rope, peanut butter, jelly, disposable razors, deodorant, small hand-sanitizers, women's small-size clothes and underwear, other perishable and nonperishable food items, other men's clothing items (pocket T-shirts, jeans, work shoes, white socks), toilet paper, tampons, bicycles and lights, other camping gear, Ziploc bags, small can openers, water, large-print paperback books, financial donations and volunteers.
