The Service Tree lists all services in "branched" groups, starting with the very general and moving to the very specific. Click on the name of any group name to see the sub-groups available within it. Click on a service code to see its details and the providers who offer that service.

Public Awareness/Education

Community Calendars

Programs that publish and distribute or make available online calendars of community events such as concerts, fairs, parades, human service agency fundraisers and other recreational, cultural and educational activities.

Directory/Resource List Publication

Programs that publish and distribute directories of agencies that provide human services for residents of the community and/or resource lists. Included are programs that produce directories/lists that focus on a specific geographical area, service category or target group as well as those that produce a comprehensive directory of all community resources.

Newsletters

Programs that publish newsletters to make the public aware of the services which are available within the community, to review legislation and other measures for resolving specific social problems and/or to provide information or opinions about other topics that may be of interest to a particular target group or the community at large.

Outreach Programs

Organizations that make an effort to increase the availability and utilization of community services by specific target populations by providing direct services for targeted individuals in their homes or other convenient locations or by making special efforts to ensure that a particular group is aware of available services and encouraged to participate. Included are programs that do outreach regarding their own services as well as those which encourage a target population to use a wide variety of services.

Speakers/Speakers Bureaus

Programs that maintain lists of individuals who are willing to make presentations on any of a variety of human service topics and social issues or which have paid staff or volunteers, one of whose primary responsibilities is public awareness and education with respect to one or a variety of community services, issues and problems.

Subject Specific Public Awareness/Education

Programs that use any of a wide variety of materials to educate the public about issues that relate to a particular field or topic.
