Description:
The Lighthouse of Manasota is a non profit that exists to educate and empower those affected by vision loss so they may enjoy happy, healthy and independent lives. We provide free rehabilitation training, classes and support groups to blind and visually impaired individuals of all ages. Services and programs offered include: early intervention/blind babies, children's program, teen transition program, vocational rehabilitation, orientation and mobility (white cane), assistive technology and independent living classes.
Intake Process:
Required eye report/exam from eye doctor. Caseworker will come to clients home and learn what their goals are. An instructor will follow up and help the client achieve their goal.
