Description:

A Safe Haven for Newborns is dedicated to eliminating the ultimate in infant abuse, abandonment, through education, prevention, direct assistance and grass roots community involvement. We provide a faith-based 24-hour hotline for pregnancy services including information on Safe Haven locations that allow anyone in possession of an unharmed newborn (seven days old or less) to leave the child at the location anonymously, no questions asked and free from fear of prosecution. We have partnered with all Fire/EMS & Hospitals in the state of Florida to become Safe Havens.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Volunteers play a vital role in helping to spread the word in the community that infant abandonment does not have to happen. A Safe Haven for Newborns offers help and hope to women in need and crisis thus saving two lives, the mother and her newborn. All student and non-student volunteers have opportunities to volunteer and do their community service hours.
